The Town Hall’s assembly room hosted a session where the project director, the technical team, and the local council explained how the study works and answered questions from the public.
The town became the meeting point to share first-hand the objectives of Girostudi, the leading public health project in the Girona region promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Girona. The session served to support the rollout of the fieldwork that is already underway in the town.
Local data to improve town services
During the event, Pau Batlle, director of Girostudi, accompanied by the technical team and municipal representatives, explained the importance of gathering real, local data. This information will help us understand how the mountain environment, habits, and social factors influence the quality of life in Camprodon. Ultimately, it is a key tool for public authorities to plan health policies tailored to people’s actual needs.
How does the study work and how can you take part?
The meeting was very practical and allowed residents to put their questions directly to the team. Details were provided on how the interviews are conducted, the different ways to respond (such as the mobile app or telephone support), and how to identify accredited staff. During the presentation, it was emphasised that local health is built exactly like this: alongside the people and by listening to the community.
